Participation at the Fifth National Cluster Conference in Romania, with the objective "Clusters. Danube Strategy. Bioeconomics", during the period 05-06.10.2017.

The integration of clusters in Romania into international and multi-sectoral value chains is one of the viable solutions in the "catch-up" process from the point of view of innovation. The Danube Region is a good framework for this approach as it brings together countries and regions at different stages of development. Moreover, bioeconomy is one of the sectors with potential for excellence in Romania, given the resources and competencies existing in areas such as energy, environment, agriculture, food security and food safety.

The conference was attended by prestigious representatives of European bodies, research institutes, universities, firms, clusters. The conference offered the opportunity to promote the project internationally.

Participation at the Meeting of Participating States at the Europe-Caucasus-Asia International Transport Corridor (TRACECA), meeting in Bucharest on 23.05.2017. The meeting contributed to the development and acceleration of trade and transport links with other states and was chaired by Mr. Mircea Ciopraga, Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission. Participation at the meeting of the Social Dialogue Commission, organized by the Prefecture of Galati, on 22.11.2016, during which was presented the information about the main characteristic elements of the investment of the "Multimodal Platform Galati - Stage I – Upgrading of the waterside infrastructure"

Participation at the working group meeting on "Galati County - Investment and Co-operation Area for Partners of the Republic of China", organized by the Galati County Council on 27.10.2016

The Consul General of the People's Republic of China also participated in the meeting, mr. Liang Caide, and supported the development of the county through new initiatives as a basis for open and mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese partners.

Project Launch Conference held on 25.10.2016, organized by the partners of the project "Multimodal Platform Galati - Stage I – Upgrading of the waterside infrastructure".

The event was attended by personalities from the port community, representatives of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of European Funds, representatives of local authorities (eg. Galaţi County Council, Galati City Hall, Environmental Protection Agency), port operators, media representatives, etc.

Participation at the Workshop dedicated to the European Investment Fund (EFSI) and the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) organized by the Ministry of Transport together with the European Commission - DG MOVE. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Transport on 12.10.2016.

The event helped to increase the understanding of the two European EFSI and CEF programs and to find the necessary funding sources adjacent to public money for infrastructure investment projects.
